Historical Museum of Lushnjë
The project envisioned a contemporary architectural design, distinct from the other buildings in the city, reflecting the history of Lushnjë from antiquity through the 1980s. The museum was also planned to include a dedicated section devoted to the National Liberation Anti-Fascist War, as well as specialized exhibits on Archaeology, Agrarian Reform, Education and the Campaign Against Illiteracy, Healthcare, Ethnography, and other important aspects of the region’s historical and cultural heritage.
Furthermore, the museum was expected to meet high scientific and museological standards, as it was being established after the National Museum in Tirana and several other important museums throughout the country.
Following years of planning and preparation, the Historical Museum of Lushnjë was officially inaugurated on November 21, 1990.
